South Tangerang, February 24, 2025 – The Vice Rector II of Universitas Terbuka, Prof. Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, S.E., M.Si., directly handed over the Decree of Functional Position Appointment of Professor to one lecturer from the Faculty of Law, Social, and Political Sciences of Universitas Terbuka (FHISIP UT) on Monday (24/02/2025). The lecturer appointed as Professor is Prof. Dr. Susanti, M.Si. in the field of science/expertise of Governance and Public Sector Governance. 

Also present were the Vice Rectors, Faculty Deans, Heads of Centers, as well as lecturers and staff of FHISIP. The handover of the Decree was conducted at the Faculty Building III, 1st Floor, FHISIP UT. 

The event began with the recitation of prayers, and a speech from Dr. Meita Istianda, S.IP., M.Si., as the Dean of FHISIP UT. In her speech, she conveyed that our spirit must be in line with Prof. Susanti’s spirit in pursuing education at Universitas Terbuka. According to her, pursuing a career to reach the level of professor is a very valuable achievement, because it not only provides an opportunity to dedicate knowledge and expertise, but also reflects extraordinary values of struggle. FHISIP UT is very proud of Prof. Susanti’s achievement of the professorship and hopes to guide other colleagues to achieve the title through systematic steps. The knowledge gained by Prof. Susanti is expected to continue to be developed for the advancement of FHISIP UT in the future. Approaching the month of Ramadan, on behalf of the leadership, the Dean of FHISIP UT also conveyed apologies for any shortcomings. 

Furthermore, a speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, S.E., M.Si. In his speech, he congratulated Prof. Dr. Susanti, M.Si. on her success in achieving the professorship. He also provided motivation to colleagues in the FHISIP environment to continue to be enthusiastic in achieving similar titles. Prof. Ali Muktiyanto emphasized the importance of the role of professors who are expected to make greater contributions in accordance with their fields of expertise, while also encouraging lecturers to achieve the professorship. 

For information, FHISIP UT currently has six professors. The event concluded with the handover of the Professor’s Decree given by Prof. Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, S.E., M.Si., which was then followed by congratulations from the leadership and colleagues from FHISIP who were present at the event.
