Universitas Terbuka Vocational School (SV-UT) was officially established on 15 September 2025 as part of UT’s commitment to expanding access to high-quality higher education that is relevant to the needs of business, industry, and the world of work (DUDIKA) and aligned with technological developments in the digital era. Delivered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL), SV-UT offers flexible learning opportunities that allow students from across Indonesia—and even abroad—to acquire applied skills without limitations of time and place. 

SV-UT is designed to prepare human resources with practical, applied, and globally competitive skills through an ODL model enriched by digital technology, virtual laboratories, remote practicum, and artificial intelligence (AI). Through this approach, vocational students at UT can access hands-on learning experiences regardless of their geographic location, both within Indonesia and internationally. 

The study programs offered by SV-UT are structured to support strategic sectors, including technology, business, tourism, management, logistics, and information science. The curriculum is developed based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and implemented through a strong link and match approach with business, industry, and the world of work (DUDIKA). SV-UT is expected to serve as a catalyst in producing a skilled, adaptive, and innovative workforce, ready to face the challenges of digital transformation and the Industry 5.0 era.
