Every government has its own Government Internal Supervising Body (APIP) for internal supervision. With this context, Universitas Terbuka (UT) has its own Internal Supervising Office (KPI) functioning as an internal supervision system as well as a strategic partner in supporting organizational goals. To synchronize perspectives before auditing starts, KPI routinely holds a synchronization workshop for auditors every year. In 2025, this event was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, as a new year refreshment.

This event was opened with the remarks by Head of KPI, Dr. Hendrian, S.E., M.Si., delivering a short report from last year’s auditing. The next remark was delivered by the Rector of UT, Dr. Mohamad Yunus, S.S., M.A., highlighting the importance of internal supervision, knowing the increasing number of students served by UT. “UT has a sense of security in its duties with the presence of KPI.” said Dr. Yunus. During the opening, Rector of UT also gave souvenirs to the first speaker of the day and ended the event with a photo session.

The main event started with the presentation by Dr. Sujatmiko Wibowo, S.T., M.Ak., QIA, Madya Auditor of Inspectorate General of Kemdikbudsaintek. This presentation was moderated by Manager of Evaluation of KPI, Dr. Tora Akadira, S.T. The materials presented titled “Accountability and Management of State Universities” emphasized that KPI as the third line of defense is required to have the ability of giving recommendations that add value for organizational goals.

The second session moderated by KPI’s Audit Manager, Deddy Ahmad Suhardi, S.Si., M.M., had presentations from Suharyanto, Ak., CA., Supervisor of BPKP Banten. The materials titled “Simulation Builds Structure and Process of integrated SPIP” talks about the System of Government Index Control” (SPIP) as stated in the Government Rule No. 30 of 2008. He explained that SPIP is a series of activities, procedure, process, and other aspects that may help reach organization goals effectively.
It’s hoped that this workshop could provide new knowledge to auditors of KPI UT so that they could develop and implement their tasks of supervising UT units from Sabang to Merauke. The event was concluded with the signing of an integrity pact of auditors and a photo session, marking a commitment to maintain transparency and accountability in Universitas Terbuka.
