In the middle of activity and increasing demands of life, we often tend to overlook our most valuable asset, which is our health. As a form of concern for the health of its employees, Universitas Terbuka (UT) held a Medical Check-Up (MCU) at UTCC on Monday (23/10/2023). The MCU activity will take place for the next 4 days until Friday. MCU is organized through UT collaboration with Mandiri Inhealth insurance provider and EMC Hospital, Bintaro. Present on the first day of MCU were Vice Rector for Finance, Resources, and General Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, S.E., M.Si., representatives from Mandiri Inhealth, Ms. Trya Kusmiati and Mr. Dewanto Permadi, as well as the Head of Mandiri Pondok Cabe, Ms. Nuryati.
During his visit to UTCC, Prof. Ali stated that MCU would be a program regularly held to ensure that all UT employees are in fit condition. If there are any issues that need to be addressed, they will not become fatal. He added that MCU is proof of UT commitment to continuously maintain employee health. Prof. Ali hoped that all UT employees would be in good health. UT provides health allocations as insurance for outpatient and even inpatient treatment. From the MCU results, it is expected that employees can do their best for their health so that they can work at UT in a healthy, safe, comfortable, and optimistic condition.
As a health insurance provider, Ms. Trya Kusmiati stated that one of Mandiri Inhealth services is not only when participants are not healthy but also in preventive and promotive measure through MCU. MCU is already included as a benefit in Mandiri Inhealth UT. She mentioned that MCU for UT Headquarters would last for a week until Friday. MCU for UT nationwide has been ongoing since early October. At the end of the interview, she hoped that all UT employees would be in good health.
As the head of Mandiri Pondok Cabe, Ms. Nuryati expressed her pride that Mandiri Inhealth, as a subsidiary of Bank Mandiri, could collaborate with Universitas Terbuka. It is hoped that this cooperation will continue in the future. MCU includes blood tests, eye examinations, physical examinations, X-rays, and dental examinations. UT employees seemed very enthusiastic, as seen from the large number of employees participating in the MCU. On the first day, MCU was observed being conducted for employees from the Multimedia Learning Materials Production Center (P2BAM), Learning Management Center, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), and the Senate.
