Journal Festival Fair 2025 Highlights Young Leaders in the Digital Era

The atmosphere at Auditorium Al-Izza, SMK Pembangunan Kota Bogor, felt warm and inspiring as hundreds of UT Bogor students and participants from various schools joined the Journal Festival Fair (JFF) 2025 on Sunday (30/11/2025). Organized by UT Bogor’s Journalism and Public Relations Student Unit, the event carried the theme “The Art of Leading in the Digital Era.” Three speakers shared practical insights and motivation on how young people can grow and lead in today’s fast-changing world.

Career Preparation with Vina Muliana

In the first session, Vina Muliana emphasized that career planning starts long before writing a CV. She introduced three essential foundations:

Clarity — knowing your direction and what the world needs

Competitive — building skills and experience

Connection — creating networks that support your career journey

Vina also highlighted four key skills for future graduates: self-management, communication and leadership, problem solving, and digital literacy. She compared the job application process to “PDKT,” reminding participants that each company needs a different approach. For interviews, she encouraged the Prepare, Presence, Practice method to boost confidence.

Personal Branding & Public Speaking

The event continued with Safah Affifah (Personal Branding) and Desna Aryana (Public Speaking). They guided participants on building a strong digital presence, communicating effectively, and gaining confidence to speak in public. Short simulations made the sessions more interactive and engaging.

Festival Atmosphere

Beyond the seminars, JFF 2025 featured a food bazaar, quizzes, gifts, and doorprizes, creating a lively and friendly environment for networking and collaboration.

A Platform for Youth Empowerment

JFF 2025 Chairperson M. Fakhran Fadillah said he hoped the event would inspire participants to keep learning and creating. “Today we explored Career Preparation, Personal Branding, and Public Speaking. Hopefully this becomes the starting point for you to grow, express yourself, and shine.”

Through events like JFF, Universitas Terbuka strengthens digital literacy and youth leadership in line with the SDGs—especially quality education, youth empowerment, and equal access to learning. UT continues to show its commitment to providing education without boundaries for anyone ready to grow and compete in the digital future.
