Students of SALUT Cendekia are Amazed by The Atmosphere in UT Central Office!

South Tangerang – April 21, 2025 – Universitas Terbuka (UT) Central Campus welcomed a visit from the Universitas Terbuka Service Center (SALUT) Cendekia Sukabumi on Monday, April 21, 2025. This visit served as a momentum to strengthen synergy between distance learning service units, as well as to reinforce understanding of UT’s strategic role in providing open and flexible access to higher education for all Indonesian people. The event was attended by students from SALUT Cendekia from various study programs and also by the Head of the Communication Study Program at UT, Dra. Arifah Bintarti, M.Si., the Head of the Public Administration Study Program at UT, Dr. Eha Saleha, S.A.N, M.Si., and a Lecturer in Government Science at UT, Roman Hadi Saputro, S.S., M.IP. 

The visit was officially opened by the Director of Marketing and Cooperation, represented by the Head of the Sub-Division of the Directorate of Marketing and Cooperation (DPKS), Dora Sophianingtyas, S.E., M.BA. In her welcoming remarks, Dora expressed appreciation for the initiative of SALUT Cendekia Sukabumi in establishing direct communication with UT Central. She emphasized the importance of collaboration and two-way communication as the foundation for quality education services. 

“Thank you to SALUT Cendekia for coming to UT Central Office. Hopefully, our student colleagues enjoyed visiting UT Central, which serves as a place for operational units to coordinate with each other. After this, there will be excellent materials from the Heads of Study Programs, and everyone is expected to be active,” said Dora Sophianingtyas. 

Meanwhile, the Head of SALUT Cendekia Sukabumi, Muhammad Rizal Zain, S.Ak., C.STMI., also gave a welcoming speech with an optimistic tone. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to UT Central for warmly welcoming the arrival of SALUT Cendekia. Rizal Zain stated that SALUT currently plays a frontline role for students who have distance limitations to their local UT Regional Office. He hoped that this visit would provide an exciting experience for the students to get to know their campus better and feel connected. 

The agenda then continued with a presentation session from the Heads of Study Programs (Kaprodi) within UT. Each Kaprodi presented the profile of their study program, the learning system, and various academic innovations being developed. The visiting participants listened enthusiastically while discussing various dynamics often faced by students in the regions when participating in distance learning. 

The visit concluded with a campus tour that explored several of UT’s main facilities, including the Center for Multimedia Learning Materials Management (P2BAM) and the UT Learning Materials Service Center (Puslaba). The group of students from SALUT Cendekia Sukabumi directly witnessed the digital learning material production process and various other learning support facilities. 

The enthusiasm of the participants was felt until the end of the activity. Many of them admitted to gaining new insights into the working system of UT Central and seeing the potential for future collaboration. 

This visit is expected to be the beginning of stronger synergy and cooperation between UT Central and SALUT Cendekia Sukabumi in delivering increasingly quality, equitable, and far-reaching distance learning services throughout the country.
