Innovative or Outdated, Time to Upgrade Learning Materials To Be Interactive

South Tangerang, February 12, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Terbuka (UT) successfully held an Interactive Learning Material (BAI) Development Workshop which lasted for three days, from Monday to Wednesday, February 10 – 12, 2025 at the Cemara Building, Universitas Terbuka Multipurpose Building. 

This activity was attended by material writers and reviewers from six study programs within FEB UT, namely S1 Development Economics, S1 Sharia Economics, S1 Management, S1 Accounting, S1 Tourism, and S1 Public Financial Accounting. The workshop was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FEB UT and was attended by the Heads of Study Programs and course instructors. 

The workshop aims to improve the quality of FEB UT learning materials to be more interactive, adaptive, and in accordance with current learning needs. The development of BAI is expected to provide a more effective and engaging learning experience for Universitas Terbuka students. 

In this activity, BAI writers and reviewers came from various leading universities and institutions in Indonesia. In addition, the workshop also featured a writer from UniKL Business School, Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Rozainun Binti Ab Aziz who contributed to the development of BAI with an international perspective. 

The workshop began with an introduction session from each study program, followed by a presentation on the concept and strategy of BAI development and an explanation of the details of the BAI writing contract. The discussions that took place over these three days are expected to produce high-quality interactive learning materials that can support the learning process at FEB UT. 

The Faculty of Economics and Business of UT continues to be committed to presenting innovative learning materials, in accordance with the needs of students in the digital era, to improve the quality of distance education in Indonesia and contribute to the development of superior and globally competitive human resources.
