Achieving The Diktisaintek Awards 2024, UT Proves Partnership is Key!

Partnership is the main key in shaping the quality of a leading university. As a state university with legal entity, Universitas Terbuka (UT) keeps proving its commitment through strategic collaborations with many partners, including government bodies. The resource sharing done by UT is aimed to increase the performance of the implementation of Tri Dharma of Higher Education and supporting learning, research, and community service.

This effort is one of the main factors that brought UT the Bronze Winner award in the PTNBH category and the sub-category of university with the best partnerships with government institutions and NGOs in the Diktisaintek Awards 2024 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). The annual event held on the 13th of December 2024 at Graha Diktisaintek, Kemdiktisaintek, Jakarta, is a form of appreciation for the stakeholders of universities, higher education service centers (LLDikti), industry partners, government, media, and journalists for their work, support, and contributions for the transformation of higher education.

There were 11 sub-awards given in the awarding event, one of which was the Partnership Awards, divided into a few sub-categories, including Best International Partnership, Best Industry Partnership, Best Government/NGO Partnership, and Best Partnership Report.

In his remarks, The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Dr. Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro emphasized the importance of synergy between stakeholders to increase the quality of higher education, as well as strengthening the ecosystem of research and innovation with inclusivity and sustainability. “This award is our commitment to appreciate your hard work in creating transformation and reformation of higher education.” said Prof. Satrio.

UT’s success in this event gives it more meaning as this is the first time for UT to receive the award since changing the status to PTNBH. This award is received by the Rector of UT, Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D., accompanied by the Director of Marketing and Partnership, Ali Tarigan, and the Head of The Subdirectorate of Public Relations, Marketing, Maya Maria. Prof. Ojat expressed his gratitude for achieving this award.

“We would like to present this award to the academics and the whole family of UT, and it becomes our special present at the end of the year that inspires us to increase our contributions for the nation.” he said. He also gave his appreciation for the team working hard for this award, including the Directorate of Marketing and Partnership, Faculties, and UT Region.

As the pioneer of open and distance learning (ODL) in higher education, UT keeps expanding its partnership network with various government institutions, NGOs, and international partners. These collaborative programs do not only support the transformation of higher education but also strengthen UT’s position as a university oriented in innovation and partnership.

This achievement is proof that strategic partnerships can be the catalyst in increasing the quality of higher education. In the future, UT commits to maintain partnerships that support the expansion of quality higher education access, to give real contributions in creating leading human resources towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
