Imam Pesuwaryantoro, Communication Student Achieved 3rd Place at National COPSI!

Jakarta – After spending over a decade in the Creative and Media Industries, Imam Pesuwaryantoro secured 3rd place nationally in the COPSI 6th 2024 competition. 

The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Terbuka, in collaboration with APSAE and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), organized the 6th COPSI 2024 competition with the theme “Empowering through Innovation in Community-Based Enterprises.” 

The TOP 12 National Finalists came from various institutions such as the Fisheries Department of Bulukumba Regency, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) Surabaya, Universitas Pattimura, UNTIRTA, Universitas Terbuka, UPN East Java, and the Indonesia Banking School. 

The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, SE, M.Si, Chief of FDAP and Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs at Universitas Terbuka. 

Imam expressed his gratitude with joy and enthusiasm for the guidance from his mentors, supervisors, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Imam Farisi, M.Pd. at Universitas Terbuka, which contributed to his success. 

The jury panel, comprising international practitioners, selected the main winners from the TOP 12 National Finalists. The jury included Moh. Mahsun, SE, M.Si., Ak, CA, CPA, CFra, CertiPSAS, Ph.D (Audit Standard Board of the Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants), Dr. Kazi Musa (Bangladesh), Dr. Clinton Anyanwu (Rajamangala University of Technology), Prof. Dr. Luki Karunia, CA, CACP (Public Sector Accountant Compartment – Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants), and Ms. Julia Simatupang from ACCA. 

The sub-themes evaluated by the jury for the TOP 12 Finalists focused on specific issues, including: 

1. Promoting Sustainable Economic Growth Through Community-Based Enterprises 

2. Innovative Financial Reporting Applications for Village-Owned Enterprises and SMEs 

3. Digital Transformation and Technology Adoption for Village-Owned Enterprises and SMEs 

4. Social and Environmental Responsibility of Community-Based Enterprises 

5. Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Driving Change and Growth 

Imam Pesuwaryantoro’s Media Aggregator innovation offers an alternative for MSMEs, corporations, and even members of the Indonesian Parliament and local legislative bodies to quickly publicize their positive activities or works to a wider Indonesian audience. 

Imam hopes that his vision can help Indonesia become digitally literate through the Media Aggregator, providing an efficient communication and information exchange platform for MSMEs, corporations, and legislative members to inform the global community about their activities or work.
