Productive Ramadan, UT Semarang Blends Learning and Social Impact

Semarang — On March 8, 2026, Universitas Terbuka (UT) Semarang gathered students from various regions at Hotel Khas Semarang for its Productive Ramadan program, designed to keep students active while combining social engagement with academic development.

The event began with a takjil distribution, where students shared food with the community and road users—fostering empathy and social awareness in line with SDGs 1 and 10.

The program continued with a Scientific Writing Workshop, guiding participants through research ideation, structuring academic papers, and steps toward publication. Students actively engaged in discussions and began drafting their own article topics, supporting SDG 4 on quality education.

The day concluded with a communal iftar, strengthening connections among students from diverse backgrounds.

Through this initiative, UT Semarang demonstrated its role beyond delivering flexible education—creating meaningful learning experiences that develop both academic skills and social responsibility.
