UT Joins Contract Signing for Equity 2025 WCU THE Impact Rankings

Jakarta, Tuesday (August 26, 2025) – The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) is continuing its push to strengthen the global competitiveness of Indonesian higher education. One of its strategic steps is the signing of the Equity 2025 World Class University (WCU) / Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings Program with 23 State Universities with Legal Entities (PTN BH). 

Universitas Terbuka (UT) is one of the PTN BHs receiving the Equity 2025 Program, supported by funding from the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP). The presence of UT Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, S.E., M.Si., at the contract signing affirms UT’s commitment to continuously strengthen its research capacity, scientific publications, and academic reputation at the international level. 

The Equity 2025 Program is not only focused on achieving global rankings but is also aimed at expanding equitable access to higher education while supporting Indonesia’s transformation into a world-class higher education ecosystem. 

By joining this program, UT is expected to make more tangible efforts to improve the quality of its research, innovation, and contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
