This activity took place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in the JK Meeting Room at FISIP UI, Depok.

This strategic meeting is part of Universitas Terbuka’s efforts to prepare for the launch of its Political Science Study Program, which is designed to meet the public’s need for open and flexible access to higher education in the field of politics.

Meanwhile, the Universitas Terbuka delegation was led by the Dean of FHISIP UT, accompanied by the UT Political Science Study Program Establishment Research Team.

The discussions were productive, delving into UI’s experience in managing its Political Science Study Program. Topics included curriculum aspects, human resource development, quality assurance systems, and the strengthening of research networks and collaborations. UT also presented its vision and direction for the development of this new study program, focusing on expanding access to political education through technology and distance learning.

The Dean of FHISIP UT expressed high appreciation for the warm welcome and shared experiences provided by FISIP UI. “We highly value FISIP UI’s openness in sharing its best practices. This will be an important foundation for us in ensuring the academic quality and scientific relevance of UT’s Political Science Study Program in the future,” he stated.

This activity is expected to be the initial step in building synergy between institutions for the development of higher education in political science in Indonesia. The aim is to create programs that are inclusive, responsive to socio-political dynamics, and adaptive to the challenges of the times.
