Dr. Miftahul Munir, Rector of IIKNU Tuban, in his remarks expressed his admiration for UT’s large-scale yet quality distance learning practices. He stated that UT serves as a key reference for universities in developing technology-based distance learning, and thus IIKNU is eager to learn much from UT.

The event continued with the exchange of souvenirs and a group photo as a marker of the beginning of a strategic cooperative and collaborative relationship.

The discussion session featured presentations by Prof. Aminudin Zuhairi, Ph.D., who highlighted the principle of “openness” in PTTJJ; Dr. Muhammad Rif’an, S.T., M.T., as Director of Information Systems, who explained the process of managing information systems and digital learning aspects at Universitas Terbuka; and Dimas Agung Prasetyo, S.Kom., M.Sc., as Head of the Learning Management Center, who elaborated on the development and management of learning at Universitas Terbuka.

The visit continued with a Head Office Tour to the Center for Learning Material and Multimedia Production (P2BAM) to gain a direct insight into UT’s learning material production process, from module development to digital learning materials, and UT’s multimedia innovations.

Through this visit, both institutions strengthened their commitment to building a digital-based, open, and collaborative higher education ecosystem, in line with UT’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). It is hoped that this exchange of knowledge and best practices will accelerate the improvement of more inclusive, flexible, and sustainable higher education quality.
