Meanwhile, in the THE Impact Rankings session, it was explained how the trend of participation in rankings of Indonesian universities generally increase over the years. Per 2024, 31 universities participated in the SDGs-based ranking. This shows the enthusiasm from universities to realize sustainable development.
Generally, there are 5 SDG indicators achieved by universities in Indonesia, including SDG 2: food waste; SDG6: water usage; SDG7: energy; SDG15: alien species impact; SDG9: number of university spin offs. In addition, THE also gave a short explanation regarding good examples as a mandatory requirement for data submission of Impact Rankings.
The presence of UT in this event is highly significant in the efforts of becoming a WCU level PTNBH, through THE Online Learning Rankings. Through this active participation, it is hoped that UT will gain valuable insights. Therefore, UT could strategize and participate in THE Impact Rankings 2026.
