Engaging an Entrepreneurial Spirit, UT Brings 13 Teams with Best Proposals 

The Student Entrepreneurship Development Program has become a flagship program sought after by students, including those at UT. Known as the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program or Program Pembinaan Mahasiswa Wirausaha (P2MW), this initiative supports student businesses through development funding and coaching, aiming to foster entrepreneurship among students and enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the university level.  

As a public university under the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi, – Dirjendiktiristek), UT remains committed to actively participating in the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW). UT’s involvement is facilitated by faculties and regional UT offices, which oversee the selection and assistance in drafting P2MW proposals with Faculty members from both the main campus and regional offices coordinate and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Learning Services, and Partnerships (Vice Dean 3), as well as the Vice Rector for Information Systems and Student Affairs (Vice Rector 3).  

The proposal submission and selection process for P2MW in 2024 involves 2 (two) stages:  

Internal Selection at UT  

UT evaluates submitted proposals by students through the operator account on Portal Kesejahteraan, allowing a maximum of 3 business groups per category for Food and Beverage; Cultivation; Creative Industries, Arts and Culture; Services, Tourism, and Trade; Manufacturing and Applied Technology as well as proposing five business groups in the Digital Business category at the maximum.  

UT announces the results of the internal selection and provides supporting documents.
Selection at Belmawa   
Conducting administrative selection.  
Reviewing student business proposals and university submissions, 
Announcing and finalizing the selection results through the Assistance Recipient Decree.  

After a series of activities, including orientation sessions and guidance from faculty mentors at regional UT offices and faculties, followed by internal UT review conducted by the central UT review team, UT finally announced the top 13 proposals to be submitted to Belmawa Directorate and conveyed Congratulations and best wishes to the teams with the best proposals, with the details:

With the information, faculties and regional UT offices can inform UT representative team students about the process and provide guidance and facilitation for students to the program implementation and reporting for teams receiving funding from the Belmawa Directorate.  

It is hoped that student participation in the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) will inspire, motivate, and shape UT students to become outstanding entrepreneurs capable of competing and making tangible contributions to society. With this achievement, UT, as a pioneer in distance learning in Indonesia, aims to continue promoting student programs that stimulate other UT students to actively contribute to both academic and non-academic activities, enabling them to achieve their highest potential.
