The atmosphere at the Gazebo of Universitas Terbuka was warm and vibrant on Friday, July 28, 2023 – as it marked the celebration of ICE Institute’s 2nd anniversary. This year’s event carried the theme “Making a Difference Through Online Learning For All.”
Two years ago, amid the onslaught of the Covid-19 pandemic, ICE Institute was inaugurated by Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). As the Indonesia Cyber Education Institute, ICE Institute aimed to become an accredited center for online lectures, offering various online courses from different universities and e-learning providers across Indonesia. Its primary goal is to facilitate the provision of quality education while ensuring top-notch services for online and distance learning. Through ICE Institute, users can easily select the online courses that suit their career development needs in the era of Industry 4.0.
In her speech, Prof. Paulina Pannen, M.LS., one of the founders of ICE Institute, expressed her profound gratitude for the extraordinary contributions of all parties involved. She emphasized that the initiation of ICE Institute is a tangible step towards contributing to the nation’s future.
The celebration was also enriched with the launch of interactive books and the presentation of ICE Institute Award 2023 in various intriguing categories such as “Most Addictive Course,” “Most Admired Provider University,” “Top ICE Institute Participant,” and more.
The event was graced by the presence of officials from Universitas Terbuka, and it was filled with harmony and joy.
