Increasing The Quality of World Class Education, UT Links Up With National Institute of Development Administration

As a pioneer in Open and Distance Learning (ODL), Universitas Terbuka (UT) remains committed to providing quality education to all sectors of society. To support this commitment, UT continues to collaborate with various institutions both nationally and internationally. In line with this, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UT has established a partnership marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). 

The MoA signing ceremony took place on Friday, July 26, 2024, in the Rasamala Room, Wisma 2, Universitas Terbuka, South Tangerang. The event was attended by Dr. Meirani Harsasi, S.E., M.Si. as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UT, Dr. Sid Suntrayuth, Ph.D. as the Dean of the Department of International College (NIDA), along with other leaders from FEB-UT and NIDA. 

In her opening remarks, Dr. Meirani expressed her hope that the collaboration between UT and NIDA could be implemented swiftly and extensively. She also expressed her enthusiasm for inviting lecturers from NIDA to provide guest lectures for UT students and her hope that this partnership will last long and continue to be well-established. 

At the same event, Dr. Suntrayuth expressed his admiration for the environment and facilities at UT. He also conveyed his hope that this collaboration would benefit education and the community, and he looked forward to a sustainable partnership. 

The ceremony proceeded with the signing of the MoA by Dean Meirani Harsasi and Dr. Sid Suntrayuth, with Dr. Martino Wibowo, Ph.D. from UT and Dr. Sarah from NIDA serving as witnesses. This collaboration encompasses several areas, including academic cooperation, research, and community service. 

The event was concluded with a group photo session. With the establishment of this partnership between UT and NIDA, it is hoped that it will generate positive and sustainable impacts, particularly in providing quality open and distance education accessible to all.
