The Faculty of Law, Social Science, and Politics (Fakultas Hukum, Ilmu Sosial, dan Ilmu Politik –  FHISIP) Universitas Terbuka conducted benchmarking to some Faculty of psychology at leading universities in Java Island, such as Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM), Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), and Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). It began on March 7 to 9, 2024, a Bachelor of Psychology initiator team of UT conducted benchmarking to four mentioned universities, led by the Vice-dean of FHISIP Academic Field of Universitas Terbuka. This is to meet the need for the establishment of a Psychology Department according to the distance learning management systems. The team made an effort to look for the significance of the existence of the Psychology Faculty and Department to society by discussing, sharing, and observing during the activity. This benchmarking was particularly important to enhance the Psychology academic understanding and program management. Moreover, this activity brought valuable benefit to FHISIP,
