UT and BRI Strengthen Partnership to Enhance University Governance

Transformation in higher education extends beyond the classroom. Behind quality educational services lies an effective, transparent, and adaptive system for managing finance and human resources throughout any advancement. Guided by this vision, Universitas Terbuka (UT) has established a strategic partnership with BRI Ciputat Branch Office (Kanca Ciputat) to strengthen institutional governance through integrated banking services.

The collaboration, discussed between UT Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs Dr. Adrian Sutawijaya, S.E., M.Si. and representatives of BRI Kanca Ciputat, marks an important step toward supporting more modern and efficient university operations.

The partnership includes strengthening the university’s financial management through integrated digital banking services. In the future, various operational transactions are expected to become faster, more transparent, and more accountable. This includes optimizing the student tuition payment system and utilizing cash management services to improve the university’s financial administration.

In addition, the collaboration focuses on enhancing human resource management within UT. One of the initiatives being developed is the implementation of payroll services to support the distribution of salaries, allowances, and other incentives for faculty members and administrative staff in a more effective and structured manner.

Beyond administrative improvements, the partnership also creates opportunities for financial empowerment and literacy programs for the university community. Through a range of educational initiatives, students will gain a better understanding of financial management in the digital era. The collaboration also opens opportunities for internship programs and the utilization of BRI’s digital ecosystem to support students’ professional development in the future.

For UT, the partnership represents part of its broader commitment to building a more professional, modern, and service-oriented university governance system. Strong financial management and effective human resource administration are expected to provide a solid foundation for delivering high-quality education to the public.

The initiative also aligns with Universitas Terbuka’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through cross-sector collaboration, UT continues to promote service innovation that delivers tangible benefits to its academic community and society.

Looking ahead, UT expects its partnership with BRI Kanca Ciputat to evolve into a long-term collaboration that not only strengthens institutional governance but also creates new opportunities for capacity building, financial literacy, and digital transformation that meet the evolving needs of higher education.
