Tangerang, October 12, 2025 – In the spirit of commemorating National Santri Day and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Universitas Terbuka (UT) conducted the 2025 Lecturer Community Service Program (PkM) titled: “Realizing Self-Reliant Santri and Sustainable Pesantrens: Implementation of Bio-Circular Sociopreneurship in the Spirit of Santri Day and SDG Achievement.”
The activity was held at Pondok Pesantren Al-Islah, Cisauk Village, Cisauk District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on October 12, 2025. It was initiated by Dr. Vivi Indra Amelia Nasution, M.A., as the Head of the UT Lecturer PkM Team, with support from the Head of the State Administration Science Study Program, Dr. Eha Saleha, M.Si., team members, and several other lecturers and staff.

The program involved several partner pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools) in and around the Cisauk area, including Pondok Pesantren Al-Islah, TPQ Darul Ulum Suradita, Pondok Pesantren Mathla’ul Hidayah, and representatives from Pesantren Nurul Ihsan. The event was attended by approximately 80 participants, comprising santri (students), teachers, and local community members.

- Goal: Encourage santri to develop productive business units to strengthen the economic self-reliance of the pesantren and support local SDG achievement.
- Quote: “We want to instill the spirit of sociopreneurship that aligns with pesantren values and the principles of sustainable development. Santri are not just beneficiaries but also motors of social change in their environment,” said Dr. Vivi Indra Amelia Nasution.
