FEB UT and FEB UIN Jakarta Unite Vision of Improving Economy and Education

On Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Faculty of Economics and Business of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) signing ceremony was held between Universitas Terbuka and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The content of this PKS relates to strengthening the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The event was attended by the Dean of Universitas Terbuka, Dr. Meirani Harsasi; the Vice Dean for Partnership and Student Affairs, Olivia Idrus, S.E., M.Sc; the Head of the Islamic Economics Study Program, M. Fuad Hadziq, M.Si; and Dr. Indar Fauziah Ulfah, S.E.I., M.E, a lecturer in the Islamic Economics Study Program. Representatives from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta were Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si, accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si; the Vice Dean for General Administration, Dr. Erika Amelia, M.Si; the Head of the Administration Division, Imam Thobroni, MM; and all Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs within the Faculty of Economics and Business of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The meeting took place in the Dean’s office on the 2nd floor of the new FEB building, Jalan Ibnu Sina, Ciputat, South Tangerang. 

In his remarks, the Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta warmly welcomed the opportunities for cooperation that could be carried out by both campuses. This cooperation is expected to be sustainable, with implementations that can be carried out in the near future, such as inviting guest lecturers for e-lectures or conducting joint community service activities. The Dean of FEB UT, Dr. Meirani, expressed her hope to optimize the cooperation between the two parties further through concrete activities such as becoming online tutorial tutors, joint module development, and other community service activities involving lecturers from both UIN and UT. The visit concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding signed by the Dean of FEB UIN and the Dean of FEB UT as a form of sustainable cooperation for the improvement of the academic quality of both institutions at the national and international levels.
