Bravo! Universitas Terbuka Achieved Unqualified Opinion for Financial Reports Since Its Transformation to a Legal Entity State University

Exciting news has emerged from Universitas Terbuka (UT). For the first time since becoming a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH), UT has received an Unqualified Opinion for its financial reports from the Public Accounting Firm (PAF), Heliantono & Partners. This prestigious opinion was announced during the 2024 Audit Exit Meeting held on Monday, May 27, 2024, for the 2023 UT PTN-BH Financial Report.

The hybrid Exit Meeting took place in the Operation Room at the BKUK-UT Building, attended by UT’s Rector and top officials from the Vice Rector’s Office, Audit Committee, Board of Trustees, Financial Management Center, Planning and Reporting Center, Directorate of Management, Facilities, Infrastructure, and General Affairs, Research and Community Service Institute, Information Systems Directorate, Internal Audit Office, and the audit team from Heliantono & Partners PAF. UT leaders from headquarters and regional offices participated virtually via Zoom.

The event began with opening remarks from UT Rector, Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D., and Prof. Ainun Na’im, Ph.D., followed by an audit notification presentation by the  Heliantono & Partners PAF team. The audit results included the Independent Audit Report, Audit Results Report, and Management Letter.

Prof. Ojat Darojat warmly welcomed the audit results, which found no material misstatements, allowing UT to achieve an “Unqualified Opinion.” This milestone is a testament to UT’s commitment to maintaining integrity and precision in its financial reporting.

The Unqualified Opinion is the result of a rigorous audit process conducted by Heliantono & Partners PAF, confirming that UT’s financial statements are accurate, complete, and comply with applicable accounting standards. This assurance strengthens the confidence of all stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, the government, and the general public, in the university’s financial health and sustainability. This achievement continues UT’s track record of receiving Unqualified Opinions since 2012 when it was a Public Service Agency State University (PTN-BLU).

The financial audit of Universitas Terbuka involved a comprehensive evaluation of the accounts in the 2023 financial statements, including revenue, expenses, investments, asset management, information technology, and more. The process also included substantive testing of transactions and account balances, as well as assessing the university’s compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

Bravo UT!
