Best Graduate and Inspirative Graduate of UT Prove Self-Learning’s Role in Shaping Leading Graduates Ready to Contribute

South Tangerang, July 15, 2025 – Universitas Terbuka (UT) once again proved that quality higher education knows no bounds. Through the Graduation Ceremony for Academic Year 2024/2025 Even Semester Region 2, UT officially graduated approximately 1,165 students from across the country at the Universitas Terbuka Convention Center (UTCC), UT Central Office, South Tangerang, on Tuesday (July 15).

With the theme “Towards the Future of the Digital Era: Achieving Brilliant Achievements,” this graduation was more than just an academic ceremony. It was a moment to reaffirm UT’s spirit as a pioneer in Distance Higher Education (PTJJ) – inclusive, flexible, technology-based, and adaptive to the demands of the times.

As the only state university in Indonesia based on distance learning (PJJ), UT serves over 676,588 active students from diverse backgrounds: civil servants (ASN), teachers in 3T (frontier, outermost, disadvantaged) regions, industrial workers, homemakers, and partners from the business/industrial world. This graduation underlines that geographical limitations, age, or busy schedules are not obstacles to earning a bachelor’s degree and making tangible contributions.
