Tangerang Selatan, June 30, 2025 — Universitas Terbuka (UT) students once again achieve a proud accomplishment. Beatrix Teana Vanda Hapsari, an active student of the S1 Law Study Program at UT Yogyakarta, has been successfully selected as a finalist for Miss Indonesia 2025, representing Lampung Province. This young woman from Brabasan Village, Mesuji Regency, symbolizes that UT students are not only academically excellent but also capable of shining on the national stage.
Beatrix, as a student of UT’s Faculty of Law, Social Sciences, and Political Sciences (FHISIP), utilizes the flexible learning system to continue developing holistically. For Beatrix, UT is a boundless learning space that supports her in staying active in the world of modeling, radio broadcasting, cheerleading, as well as various social activities and cultural preservation.
Currently, Beatrix is undergoing an intensive quarantine period leading up to the grand finale of Miss Indonesia 2025, scheduled for July 9. Previously, she had achieved various accomplishments such as Muli 1 Mesuji Regency 2022 and Top 10 Muli Mekhanai Lampung Province.

In her vision, Beatrix stated her desire to be an agent of change for women and children, and to promote local and national cultural values. Her mission includes education, women’s empowerment, cultural preservation, and the utilization of social media for promoting UMKMs—all in line with the values of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), which are also UT’s commitment as an inclusive and impactful open university.
With the spirit of “Borderless Learning,” Beatrix proves that studying at UT does not hinder students from working and achieving. Instead, through UT, she is able to optimally balance education and self-development.
Let’s support Beatrix Teana, a Universitas Terbuka student, so she continues to shine and bring honor to Lampung Province and UT on the national stage!
