Universitas Terbuka (UT) has successfully received double awards from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkumham RI). The awards were for being a Member of the National Law Documentation and Information Network (JDIHN) integrated with the JDIHN.GO.ID Portal, as per the Kemenkumham RI Decree Number: M.HH-6.HN.03.05 YEAR 2024, and for being the Best IV National University (Public/Private) in 2024, as per the Kemenkumham RI Decree Number: M.HH-3.HN.03.05 YEAR 2024.

The awards were received directly by Rahmat Budiman, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., the Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, Partnership, and Business at Universitas Terbuka, accompanied by Sigit Purnomo, S.T., M.M., the Head of the UT JDIH Team, during the 2024 National JDIH Management Meeting held in Jakarta on Thursday, August 22, 2024. The event was themed “High-Quality JDIHN Enhances Legal Literacy and Compliance.”
In his speech, which was delivered by the Head of the National Law Development Agency, Prof. Eko Widodo Cahyono, the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Dr. Supratman Andi Agtas, S.H., M.H., stated, “Good legal literacy contributes to improving the quality of life and the progress of the nation, as well as creating a law-abiding society.”
The JDIH of UT not only serves as a platform for providing legal documents and information, but its proper management also plays a crucial role for all stakeholders, including supporting officials in decision-making processes, planning, and drafting regulations at both the university level and within UT’s organizational units.
On the same occasion, the Head of the UT JDIH Team expressed appreciation and congratulations to the entire JDIH UT management team for their hard work and commitment in building and managing the JDIH UT. This platform serves as a resource for legal documents and information, which is accessible to the entire academic community of UT and the general public, contributing to the development of a law-abiding society in this digital era.
