Jakarta, May 26, 2025 – Universitas Terbuka (UT) proves its courage in showing financial transparency and accountability through Sharing Session with The Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK RI) in the headquarters of BPK RI.
The event titiled “The Strengthening of Management and Accountability of UT as A World Class Open and Distance University” is an important momentum for UT in its Good Corporate Governance (GCG) practice, including the achievement of Unqualified Opinion (WTP) with the Financial Report of 2024 by Public Accounting Office of Heliantono & Co.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, S.E., M.Si., Vice Rector of Finance, Resources, and General Affairs, emphasizing how WTP is not merely a symbol of administrative success, but also a representation of integrity, transparency, and public responsibility held by UT as a State University with Legal Entity (PTNBH).
“UT is not just ready to be audited, but also ready to share management practices as a moral and professional responsibility to the public.” said Prof. Ali.
He added that transparency in UT’s management is strengthened with a digital system, tight supervision, and access to information open to stakeholders.
The sharing session was attended by BPK higher ups, including:
- Drs. H. Fathan Subchi, M.A.P., CIISA, ChFA (Member VI of BPK RI) as the main speaker
- Dr. Laode Nusriadi, S.E., M.Si., AK, CA, CPA, CFRA, CSFA, CERTDA, ACPA, ERMCP, FCPA as The Directorate General of National Finance Audit VI
In their remarks, BPK appreciated UT’s transparency and emphasized that good management must come with institutional bravery to continuously be audited, evaluated, and fixed.
External audit of UT by KAP and BPK of 2024 covered the holistic evaluation of revenue, spending, investment, asset management, and financial information systems. This process not only tests UT’s obedience to regulation, but also efficiency in resource management.
UT’s consistent track record of reaching Unqualified Opinion since 2021 strengthens UT’s position as an institution of higher education that’s professional, open, and capable of managing autonomy with accountability, transparency, and responsibility.

Through this event, UT solidifies itself as a campus that not only prioritizes innovation in open and distance learning, but also in transparency of financial management. This event aligns with the efforts in supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in strong institutions (SDG16), and Quality Education (SDG4).
