South Tangerang – April 9, 2025 – Universitas Terbuka (UT) held its Halal Bihalal 2025/1446 H event with the theme “Synergy in Diversity: Weaving Unity in Diversity at Universitas Terbuka” on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The event took place in a hybrid format at the Universitas Terbuka Convention Center (UTCC) and also online via Zoom Meeting. This Halal Bihalal event served as a moment for the entire UT extended family to strengthen ties and reinforce the spirit of togetherness.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Universitas Terbuka Board of Trustees (MWA) – Prof. Ainun Na’im, M.B.A., Ph.D., the Chairman of the UT Academic Senate – Prof. Dr. Chanif Nurcholis, M.Si., the Rector of UT – Dr. Mohamad Yunus, S.S., M.A., former Rectors of UT (Prof. Atwi Suparman, M.Sc., Prof. Tian Belawati, M.Ed., Ph.D., Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D.), Vice Rectors, leaders of UT Central and UT Regional offices, representatives of leaders from various UT partner banks (Bank BTN, Bank BRI, Bank Mandiri, Bank BNI, and Bank BSI), leaders from PT. Gramedia, PT. Pos Indonesia, PT. Synergy First Logistics (FL), PT. Jala Niaga Elok (JNE), PT. Roya Express Indonesia (REX), PT. Global Jet Express (J&T), PT. Temprina Media Grafika, PT. Macananjaya Cemerlang, representatives of the Universitas Terbuka Alumni Association (IKA UT), members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) UT, the administrators of the Baitul Ulum Mosque, the Dharma Karya Foundation, and all UT employees. The presence of these diverse elements reflected a strong synergy of partnerships within diversity.

The Rector of UT, Dr. Mohamad Yunus, S.S., M.A., in his speech conveyed the importance of maintaining togetherness and synergy amidst UT’s diversity. He stated that UT, as an educational institution that reaches students from various backgrounds, regions, and cultures, is a miniature of Indonesia’s diversity. “This diversity is the strength that unites us in a noble goal: providing access to quality education for all,” he emphasized.
He also called for continued efforts to build synergy, collaboration, mutual respect, and create an inclusive, harmonious, and progressive academic environment together. “Therefore, let us make this event a moment to strengthen good relations in togetherness, weave unity, and affirm our commitment in carrying out the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to us,” said the Rector of UT.
The event was enlivened by a performance from Gambus Addibai Entertainment, which presented meaningful religious songs. The atmosphere became even more solemn with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by International Qori, Ust. Syamsuri Firdaus, S.Hum. The melodious and solemn recitation provided tranquility for all participants present, both directly and online.

Moving into the main event, a tausiyah (religious talk) by Ustadz Ucay Batubara highlighted how the past month of Ramadan served as a moment to draw closer to Allah SWT. In this tausiyah, Ustadz Ucay also conveyed that differences and diversity make life more meaningful. Not only that, diversity enables us to synergize and work together to achieve UT’s common goals. “Through this Halal Bihalal momentum, we can work together and synergize to continue advancing Universitas Terbuka,” he said.
In closing, all participants had the opportunity to greet each other as a symbol of togetherness in diversity. A warm atmosphere was felt as all attendees enjoyed lunch together, strengthening the bonds of friendship between UT employees and the partners present.


The Universitas Terbuka Halal Bihalal 2025 successfully created a valuable moment of togetherness. With the theme of synergy in diversity, UT reaffirmed its commitment to continue being an open and inclusive higher education institution, with togetherness and cooperation as the key strengths within its diversity.
