The 40th Anniversary of Universitas Terbuka (UT) was a vibrant and spirited moment for the entire academic community at UT. One of the highlights of this year’s celebrations was the National Scientific Discussion, Sports, and Arts Week of Universitas Terbuka 2024 (DISPORSENI Nasional UT 2024). DISPORSENI Nasional UT is an annual UT event designed to facilitate the talents and interests of UT students from across the archipelago and even abroad. This year, DISPORSENI Nasional UT carries the theme, “Harmony in Sportsmanship, Creativity, and Intellectuality,” reflecting the spirit of inclusivity and diversity.
The 2024 DISPORSENI Nasional UT not only involves UT students from 39 regional UTs and UT Abroad Service Units but also includes students from other State Universities (PTNs), Private Universities (PTS), and high schools/vocational schools across Indonesia. The event featured 13 competition categories in the following areas:
– Scientific Discussions, including Science Olympics, Economics Olympics, English Debate, Law Debate, and Student Scientific Writing Competitions.
– Sports, including Basketball, Table Tennis, and Online Chess.
– Arts, including Dance Competitions, Singing Competitions, Educational TikTok Competitions, Qur’an Recitation, and Stand-Up Comedy, which was a new attraction this year.
After three months of both online and offline competition formats, the winners of each competition were announced during the 40th UT Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The list of winners in each competition category includes:

Following the announcement of the winners, UT Bandung was named the Overall Champion of the 40th DISPORSENI Nasional UT, announced directly by the Head of DISPORSENI Nasional UT, Dr. Meirani Harsasi, S.E., M.Si., who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UT. The Overall Champion Certificate was presented by UT Rector, Prof. Ojat, Vice Rector for Information Systems and Student Affairs, Prof. Paken, and the Head of DISPORSENI Nasional UT to Drs. Enceng, M.Si., Director of UT Bandung. He also extended his highest congratulations and appreciation to all winners and participants. The UT Rector emphasized that DISPORSENI Nasional UT is not merely a competition but also a platform to build solidarity and collaboration among educational institutions to nurture the nation’s outstanding talents.
Through DISPORSENI Nasional UT, UT continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting student talent development and strengthening inter-university collaboration to create a high-quality educational ecosystem.
