Universitas Terbuka as one of the biggest higher education institutions in Indonesia adheres to a culture of tightening the ties of friendships and togetherness in the internal of UT. In order to commemorate Eid Mubarak on Syawal 1, 1445, UT organized a Halal Bihalal agenda attended by the academic community of Central UT (Offline) as well as the Regional UT Offices (Online). Themed “Firm in Faith and Bond in Togetherness Towards a New Order for UT PTN-BH”, this agenda was organized on April 22, 2024, at Universitas Terbuka Convention Center (UTCC) with its hope to strengthen the ties of Friendships and to form good relations in the fellow employees of Universitas Terbuka.
The agenda started with giving mutual forgiveness and prayer to each other along with the UT Leaders. Moreover, it was opened with the performance of the ikraf Marawis team which was the champion of UIN Jakarta National competition in 2023 to encourage the excitement of the participants at the beginning of the event, and followed by the reciting of Al-Quran (Ali Imran ayat 103-105) by UT student of Serang, the winner of National Disporseni Competition of UT, in 2023.
In the middle of the activity, UT Rector, Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D. in his remarks, conveyed that the entire UT academic community hoped to enhance their good and innovative work ethics align with UT’s mission to achieve 1 million students as well as its PTN-BH status. Therefore, on that occasion, the UT Rector invited the UT Central and Regional office fellows to tighten the synergy and collaboration according to the theme of that agenda.
The agenda continued with tausyiah (preachment) which was delivered by Ustad Anugrah Cahyadi commonly called Ustad Ucay Batubara who was the finalist of Akademi Sahur Indonesia (AKSI) Indosiar in 2022. Ustad Ucay emphasized the importance of our beneficial role to others coming from self-development and good collaboration in the relations.
UT Halal Bihalal 1445 H wrapped up by having lunch together with all of UT’s academic community. Through that activity, UT boosted its encouragement to be an educational platform that does not only advance its academic aspects but also appreciates the importance of other values including solidarity and diversity. Also, UT demonstrates its commitment to show that the quality of education can grow inside an inclusive and harmonious environment.
