Tangerang Selatan, May 16, 2025 — Universitas Terbuka (UT) hosted a visit from participants of the 18th Administrator Leadership Training (PKA XVIII), organized by the Center for Management, Leadership, and Religious Moderation Competency Development (Pusbangkom MKMB) under the Agency for Religious Moderation and Human Resource Development, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The visit, held at the Central UT Campus in South Tangerang, was attended by approximately 30 PKA XVIII participants, accompanied by the Head of Pusbangkom MKMB, Dr. H. Syafi’i, M.Ag., and several organizers and facilitators. Representing UT were the Acting Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Business, Rahmat Budiman, M.Hum., Ph.D., the Head of UT’s Human Resources Center, Dr. Agus Joko Purwanto, M.Si., and the Expert Staff for Innovation, Business, and Investment, Fawzi Rahmadiyan Zuhairi, S.Si., M.Sc.
In his welcoming remarks, Rahmat Budiman, Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the visit, which was part of the PKA XVIII field study. He hoped that UT could provide valuable best practices regarding adaptive management systems and effective leadership styles for delivering excellent higher education services to stakeholders.

“UT, as an open university, has a unique characteristic with over 676,000 students spread across 39 regional UT branches and 1 overseas service. With this extensive reach, UT requires tutor support for optimal academic services. We are open to collaboration opportunities with Pusbangkom MKMB, both in providing tutors and in developing teaching materials,” he stated.
Dr. H. Syafi’i, M.Ag., expressed gratitude for the warm reception from UT. He considered Universitas Terbuka a relevant higher education institution for the field study due to its similarities in broad and equitable regional coverage and services.
“PKA XVIII participants come from various provinces across Indonesia, just like UT with its regional service network. The hope is that participants can adopt the excellent practices implemented by UT and apply them in their respective work units,” he explained.

During the occasion, Dr. Agus Joko Purwanto, M.Si., presented material titled “Organizational Dynamics and Performance,” with Fawzi Rahmadiyan, S.Si., M.Sc., serving as moderator. The activity concluded with a group photo session and a visit to the UT Teaching Materials Service Center.

This visit reinforces UT’s role as an institution open to synergy among agencies, while also strengthening its commitment to enhancing Indonesian human resource capacity through quality distance education.
