UT Majene Ready to Innovate in Tech Era through Digital Marketing Training

Moving forward with the times, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Universitas Terbuka (Majene) held a digital marketing training for all its lecturers and staff at the Tutorial Room of the UT Majene Office. 

The event aimed to strengthen the competency of human resources (HR) in facing the digital era, especially in the field of marketing. The Director of UT Majene, Devi Ayuni, S.E., M.Si., in her speech, emphasized the importance of innovation and creativity to compete. “The very rapid development of technology means we must be able to adapt and become key players. Therefore, this training is one of UT Majene’s concrete steps to strengthen its position as a responsive educational institution,” said the Director. 

The event featured a digital marketing expert, Ir. Irfan Ap, S.T., MM.T., CITSA., IPM. He stated that effective digital marketing is not just about spreading advertisements, but about building relevant relationships. In addition, he also discussed practical techniques for optimal website management, including navigation structure and content optimization (SEO). 

This digital marketing training has a strategic impact because it can build a closer connection with prospective students. “We must dare to think outside the box, find new ways to convey positive messages about UT Majene. Creativity and new ideas are the key to attracting attention and building public trust,” Devi Ayuni asserted. 

This training is also in line with several goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), one of which is SDG 4, Quality Education. With this training, skills and knowledge, especially in the digital era, are indirectly expanding. Not only that, but this training also supports SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth. This is because digital marketing competency can increase the competency of staff and contribute to inclusive and sustainable digital economic development. 

Through this activity, it is proven that UT Majene has strived to continue innovating in increasing its competitiveness in the digital era, along with the need to integrate technology into marketing and educational activities. In addition, it is hoped that this activity can be a provision for all academics at UT Majene to optimize promotion and services, in order to reach more prospective students in the future.
