As a part of PTNBH transformation, Universitas Terbuka with the other 20 PTNBH was mandated to manage the utility of the higher education endowment fund (Dana Abadi Perguruan Tinggi – DAPT) from LPDP of Kemenkeu (ministry of finance) and Ditjen Diktiristek Kemdikbudristek (Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology – Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Indonesia) in a form of EQUITY (Enhancing Quality Education for International University Recognition) program. Therefore, UT attended THE Digital UK 2024 event at the University of Exeter on April 16 – 18, 2024 as one of utilization fund implementation to support the visibility and global EQUITY reputation program of Universitas Terbuka.
Times Higher Education Digital United Kingdom, or THE UK Digital 2024 is an annual event which attracts university leaders, academics, researchers, and practitioners, along with the representation of the technology industries all over the world. This event becomes a platform for sharing ideas, innovations, and best practices to encounter the challenges and opportunities faced by the world of education in the digital era. Not only as a discussion forum but also a platform to establish a strategic collaboration for the participants to accelerate the digital transformation in the educational sector.
The University of Exeter, acting as the host of THE Digital UK 2024 event, is one of the world’s top universities settling 177 at THE World University Ranking 2024. Apart from that, the University of Exeter is also part of Russel Group Universities, leading to a potential partner for Universitas Terbuka to reach a broader range and reinforce its position in the global education arena.
Universitas Terbuka brought 3 delegations, including Prof. Dra. Dewi Artati Padmo Putri, M.A., Ph.D. (Chairperson of the Institutional Research and Community Service), Dr. Vivi Indra Amelia Nst, S.I.P., M.A. (Head of EQUITY Program), and Dr. Siti Julaeha, M.A. (FKIP Associate Professor). The existence of Universitas Terbuka in THE Digital UK 2024 is important and strategic. By attending this event, Universitas Terbuka got a chance to collaborate and contribute to the field of higher education with fellow universities globally.
Therefore, the attendance of Universitas Terbuka will become an inseparable part of collaborative networks, formed in that event which strengthen the collaborative commitment to drive higher education to have a more inclusive and innovative future.
