Bandung, January 15, 2025 – The Entrepreneurship Study Program of Universitas Terbuka (UT) which will soon be launched in 2025, has shown its commitment to providing dynamic learning relevant to industry needs. This is shown through the visitation and partnership with School of Business and Management of Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB).
The visitation aimed to initiate partnership in the development of the incubator of virtual lab for entrepreneurship. This incubator is hoped to be a platform for students of the Entrepreneurship Study Program to develop innovative business ideas, receive mentoring from experts, and build network with industry actors.
Dean of SBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ignatius Pulung Nurprasetio, M.SME emphasized that this collaboration is hoped to birth entrepreneurs that are competent, knowledgeable, and could provide positive impact for society. The discussion went on interactively and productively, generating a few points of agreement regarding the incubator of virtual lab, including:
- Development of tech-based curriculum and entrepreneurship learning modules.
- Guidance and mentoring for students by lecturers and practitioners.
- Access facilitation to investor networks and business incubators
- Workshops and seminars regarding entrepreneurship
Dean of FEB UT, Dr. Meirani Harsasi, S.E., M.Si., and lecturers of the Entrepreneurship Study Program had the chance to understand the incubator lab as a platform that gives guidance for the entrepreneurship system. This standard is focused on the improvement of education quality through the lab, as expected by stakeholders, supporting sustainable learning, and strengthening inclusive learning environment.
This visit is concrete proof of UT’s commitment to increase quality and service of education, especially for UT’s Entrepreneurship Study Program students. The presence of the virtual lab is hoped to be the innovation that doesn’t only expand learning access, but also creates a more interactive and immersive learning experience relevant with industry needs. Therefore, students will be prepared with competence to be a competitive and adaptive graduate, facing global challenges in the digital era
