Public Discussion: Perspectives on the New Criminal Code (KUHP) and Enforcement Challenges, FHISIP-UT Law Study Program. 

Tangerang Selatan, February 5, 2024. Universitas Terbuka and Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia (PERADI) proudly announced the implementation of strategic collaboration to enforcing Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. In that occasion, signed the Mou, MoA, and IA simultaneously to provide various academic activities which will be opened and presented by UT, including the Launching of Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat (PKPA) organized at UT. Also, a podcast and a series of public discussion at UT Radio on February 5, 2024. 

UT and PERADI collaboration gathered the capability to support the implementation of education and research. They are synergizing in developing the relevant and responsive academic program to legal development. 

The first event, taken on a podcast at UT Radio (P2BAM) by the Chairperson of PERADI, Prof. Dr. Otto Hasibuan., S.H., M.M., themed “Sinergitas UT-Peradi dalam Pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dan Mempersiapkan Calon Advokat Muda Indonesia” from 12.30 to 13.15. It was concerned a short discussion related to the collaboration between UT and PERADI in the education implementation and the provision of young advocates. 

At UTCC, from 13.30-16.00, the MoA, IA signings between FHISIP-UT and PERADI were organized as a second event. 

A public discussion themed “Perspektif KUHP baru dan tantangan penegakannya” was conducted as the third and Last event, in Rasamala Room at WISMA 2 Universitas Terbuka, from 16.00-17.30 WIB. 

Through the series of collaboration established by UT and PERADI, students will get learning experience with the insights of legal practitioners to improve the legal curriculum quality according to dynamics of legal development this time by supporting the formation of prospective young, skillful, and knowledgeable advocates concerning recent legal issues, and linking the connection between the academic field and legal practitioners. UT and PERADI hope it can become a foundation for further development in the implementation of education activity and student character development in the legal field. Also, it strengthened the relations between UT, PERADI, and IKADIN to be able to organize more diverse activities. Furthermore, it showed UT and PERADI commitment in advancing the quality of legal education and creating impactful dynamic academic environment positively. The collaboration emphasized it will give significant contribution in forming the next law generation who are competent and full of integrity.
