Universitas Terbuka (UT) and Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the development of human resources (HR) within the TNI through higher education. Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D., the Rector of Universitas Terbuka, signed the collaboration document along with Aspers Panglima TNI Marsda TNI Arif Widianto, S.A.B. M.Tr. (Han). The MoU, signed at Mabes TNI Cilangkap (28/12/2023) this outlines various agreements, including the collaboration between UT and TNI in the field of higher education. Additionally, this MoU serves as a reference for cooperation agreements under Mabes TNI, involving Tiga Matra TNI, namely Army, Navy, and Air Force in all regions of Indonesia. 

Aspers Panglima TNI Marsda TNI Arif Widianto, S.A.B. M.Tr. (Han), is optimistic that collaboration with higher education institutions will strengthen the human resources within the TNI. In his statement, he expressed that the MoU was a form of the TNI commitment to continually enhance the quality and qualifications of its members through high-quality higher education. 

Furthermore, in order to improve human resource development within TNI, by the year of 2024, Spers TNI will have selected TNI members who meet the criteria to be awarded scholarships for advanced studies.
