Universitas Terbuka (UT) collaborates with UPN Veteran Jakarta and Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) on Procurement Information System UT (ProMISe) as goods and services procurement program information system on Friday (19/08/2022) at the Promise Quality Center Building UT, 3rd Floor.
Universitas Terbuka (UT) is the only state university that applies distance learning system (PJJ) with online pedagogic methods. In providing its services, UT has 39 regional offices or usually called UT’s Regional Office (UPBJJ-UT) which are located across Indonesia.
As state university that implements distance education system (PJJ), Universitas Terbuka (UT) has its regional offices in order to reach out its students and provide education services across the country. Currently, there are 39 UT’s regional offices, which are usually referred Universitas Terbuka’s Regional Office (UPBJJ-UT).
The mandate of the government of Indonesia in educating the nation and people is to produce highly competent, creative, independent human resources through distance and open learning system, and therefore, a number of institutions look to Universitas Terbuka in order to realize their target goals as mandate above.
Entering its 38th years anniversary, UT will remain committed and innovative in realizing the higher education mission for all. The expansion of accessibility for the education service is the main priority of UT consideration to serve the people both in Indonesia and overseas.
On Tuesday, 19 July 2022, Indonesia Cyber Education (ICE) Institute presented the 14th Cyber Education Forum (CEF) Universitas Terbuka (UT) with the theme on: “Smart Chatbot Education.” Cyber Education Forum (CEF) was held through Zoom meeting and video streaming live on Youtube UT-TV attended by Abdul Harith bin Hasan, M.Ed.
As the pioneer of distance learning (PJJ) operation, Universitas Terbuka (UT) is ready to assist human resource (HR) capacity building by opening the access to higher education for the people of Indonesia, and simultaneously, promoting better Gross Enrollment Rate or Angka Partisipasi Kasar (APK) for higher education.
Universitas Terbuka is the only State University that applies distance learning system by online pedagogic method. One of the Universitas Terbuka’s visions is to promote the human resource competence of the people of Indonesia, and in order to realize such goal, Universitas Terbuka has its representatives in each local region.
Quality education is very essential and the main focus for all the education institutions. Nonetheless, it is not only the quality that has to be assured, but also the equitable education that has to become the main focus. Indonesia is a vast country spread across from Sabang in the West to Merauke in the East.
