The Indonesia Open University or Universitas Terbuka (UT) once again gained trust from the government institutions.
In order to improve e-learning capacity in higher education in ASEAN, Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) visited Indonesia Open University or Universitas Terbuka (UT) for a dialog with a number of officials in UT Head Office at Rectorate Building, Monday (2/12/2019).
Following up on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Universitas Terbuka (UT) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia which had been carried out some time ago, UT agreed to cooperate with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Universitas Terbuka (UT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) at the Council Hall, Allama Iqbal Open University (Friday, 10/18/2019). The MoU was a follow-up to several meetings between the two parties. The agreement was signed by the UT Rector Prof. Ojat Darojat, M. Bus., Ph.D with Bibi Yasmin as Additional Registrar of AIOU.
To enhance access and service of tertiary institutions abroad through the Universitas Terbuka’s (UT) Open Distance Education System, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing with UT. This event was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta (12/09/2019).
Under the direction of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, each tertiary institution should take the General Course (MKU) online at the Open University (UT), for various public and private universities already have signed cooperation with UT in taking MKU online.
In line the main mission of Indonesian Open University (UT) which provides the access and equal distribution of higher education for all Indonesian people, including those who live abroad, UT has established cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Affairs under Memorandum of Understanding which was signed on 7 February 2012.
The President of Indonesian Open University or Universitas Terbuka, Professor Ojat Darojat, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesian in Den Haag, the Netherlands on 6 December 2018. During the visit, the Indonesian Open University President was accompanied by Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Moh.
While attending 32nd Conference of Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) from 24th to 26th October 2018 at Hotel Melia, Hanoi, Vietnam, Indonesia Open University (UT) received an invitation from Open University of Kaohsiung (OUK), Taiwan in order to collaborate in encouraging the cooperation in education, research and other relevant fields.
