The Rector of Universitas Terbuka (UT), Prof. Ojat Darojat, was re-elected as the President of Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU), which members of the association include open and distance universities across Asia, for the office term of 2023-2025.
Universitas Terbuka (UT), with its operating region across the whole territory of Indonesia and abroad, puts forward collaboration and partnership scheme in carrying out its business process. The cooperation is formed in order to improve the quality and accessibility of UT’s services.
Following up on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Universitas Terbuka (UT) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia which had been carried out some time ago, UT agreed to cooperate with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Distance Education is more complex than a mere integration of technology in conventional classroom. The modes of teaching presentation seem evolved when more advanced technology were incorporated, as the main objective of higher education remains to be the necessity to provide quality instruction for students.
In support of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) Inter-university Staff Exchange Fellowship Programme, Universitas Terbuka is offering two short-term Fellowships to staff from AAOU member institutions for the year 2018.
